Ajmer Sharif Dargah
Ajmer Sharif Dargah relates to Hazrat Khawaja Moin Ud din Chishti (from 1141 to 1236) even known as Khawaja Gharib Nawaz, was an imam, Islamic scholar and philosopher from south asia. Khawaja Moin Ud din Chishti (r.a) introduced and established the Chishti order of Sufism in the Indian sub-continent. The starting of chain or silsila of the Chishti order in India, comprising Chishti, Khwaja Qutb Uddin Bakhtiar kaki, Khawaja Farid Uddin ganj shaker and Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya—each & every successive person is the disciple of the Earlier—includes the great Sufi saints of Indian history that includes various Mughal emperors, as even Mughal emperors were the followers of Chishti clan.
Hijrat to Hind (Journey to India)
Khawaja moin ud din chishti (r.a) turned towards india, with his honour as in his dream he got a massage from prophet muhammad (pbuh) & muhammad blessed him to do so. Khwaja moin ud din chishti (r.a) started his immediate journey & after a short stay in lahore, Khwaja reached ajmer with mu’izz al-din muhammad, and settled down in ajmer only, he attracted a considerable following & acquirement the respect of the residents of the city. Khawaja moin ud din chishti (r.a) propagated the understandings between muslims and non-muslims.
Amer Sharif Dargah (Tomb)
Dargah (tomb) of Khawaja Moin ud deen chishti (r.a), known as the Ajmer sharif dargah, Ajmer sharif dargah is an international waqf , waqf is an Islamic mortmain managed under act 1955 “dargah Khwaja saheb act, ” under the supervision of the Indian government. Dargah committee is appointed by the government of India ,it takes care of the outer area of shrine, manages donations, runs charitable institutions like guest houses & dispensaries for the devotees who come to pay tribute to Khawaja, but this is not responsible to take care of the main shrine (Astana e alia) . Astana e alia is under the custody of khadims.
